I am submitting to a juried show! (Gulp.) artEAST is calling for entries along the theme “Lines, Letters, and Love” and I think this piece is a good fit.

It’s a digital collage that I transferred to canvas. The layers include a wedding photo of my great-grandparents and a scan of my grandparents’ marriage certificate. I included other familiy photographs for interest and texture, and liked the warm red as the main color.

The submission is due November 30th, I’ll hear back a few weeks after that, and the show will run from early January through mid-February at artEAST. Wish me luck!
