Layers of the Past

In a previous lifetime, I was a math major. When I ran across an old book of math tables, pre-calculator — can you imagine? — I knew there would be some great images for layering in there.

While the actual math classes are now a blur, I do remember tough exams, tougher professors, and the beauty of a visually explained concept. These graphed equations summarize memories of my quest for a vocational fit, and to have them peeking out from under the layers of my collages and prints is a perfect addition. Keep an eye out for them as they show up in my work for this year.
