My own space that isn’t a laundry room, furnace room, or the dining room table? Yes! I’m renting a unit from ActivSpace in Ballard. Well, maybe more Fremont? Somewhere in there… Anyway, here’s the plan:

• A place to make messy art: glue, paint, simple monotypes, collage
• Storage for art in circulation
• Display for current and favorite pieces

There are several big windows for ventilation, a couple of work tables, and space for more, a big utility sink off to the right, and some display grids creating an entry gallery of sorts. I’ll be working there several times a week, I hope, or any time I want to get hands-on with my art, and then taking the results home for scanning. As a bonus, I can now take studio appointments!
