Summer Memories

Summer means time near the water, for as long as I can remember. My parents talk about family gatherings on the St. Lawrence river, where my grandparents had a summer home. I think I’ve been there, based on family photos, but I was just a baby. From there, we moved to the shores of Lake Ontario, where a muggy summer day often ended with a drive to the public beach at Consecon. Now that I’m on the West Coast, the water horizons are magnificent, and I love getting out to the edge of the land.

This year, though, my time is split between cities, and time on the water is not materializing. So, I’ve combed through my camera to find a selection of summer horizons, as solace for now. Maybe you’re a hiker, or love the mountains — I get it! But in case you need some reminders of time near the water, time spent refreshing, perhaps these views can help.

These pieces are now available as open-edition prints and accessories on my Redbubble site. Enjoy!
