Event: Spring Open Studio

It’s time to open the studio doors and let in some fresh air. After much conferencing, my studio mates favor May 14, and since that is World Collage Day, so do I!

Collage kits to take home: $4

Have you tried collage? It was my re-entry into art after my detour into a tech career (thank you, Vedika Dietrich!), and it welcomes anyone with some glue. It’s an easy way to try out composition & color, and it uses up your junk mail at the same time!

I will have collage supplies and tools out for you to try, and artist trading cards (ATCs) to swap. My studio mates, Joan and Nancy Bazaz, will have new items for you to look over, too: lots of handmade jewelry, fused glass, cards, and prints. I’ll also have larger work, some collages I’m willing to part with, sets of greeting cards, and small collage kits, like these, if you’d rather work on your own.

When: Saturday May 14 from 10 am until 4 pm
Where: 4604 14th Ave NW (Bazaz Studios), in Ballard

Want to participate from afar? I’d be happy to send you collage sketches or kits. (Cards you can get yourself at Redbubble, but you probably knew that!) Have a look at what’s available, below, and send me a note about what looks interesting. I can send you a payment link and mail out anything you like. Or, just let me know what you’re doing for World Collage Day!

Available Collage Sketches

These collages are all 9″ tall by 6″ wide, on watercolor paper, for $45. Any catch your eye?

This set of collages is smaller, 4″x6″, on watercolor paper, for $30.

Enjoy World Collage Day, or art in any form, wherever you can!

Chime in!
