Sometimes our thoughts suprise even ourselves. This piece doesn’t look like anything else I’ve ever made, and that’s okay.

In the depths of lockdown, I was making art any way I could, including from takeout containers headed for the recycling bin. Can you see the lines of a takeout rice box here? That led to lines at skewed angles, along with collages, prints, and textures to bring in color elements, and finally to a piece that might just fit in.
