Show: Postcards from the Edge

Last year, I spotted a local call for art that I could definitely fulfill: mail in a postcard. I had just been working on test prints of new versions of my Adapative Horizons series, so sent off a piece straightaway, not realizing the lead time on the show dates! Well, the day has finally come, and I can’t wait to see what’s come in from around the world, alongside my postcard-sized print of in short supply.

The gallery, Outsiders & Others, was one of the first places I checked out in Vancouver. A space that welcomes nontraditional artists and methods? Sign me up! Yuri Arajs, who runs it, has been a great source of knowledge, always willing to discuss art & the local scene. Join me for the opening, if your December calendar allows.

Earlier this year, Yuri had another, casual call, for art cards to sell in the gallery. I’m delighted to say that a small selection of my work is now available on the card rack!

The cards Yuri chose to order are some of my favourites:

With a postcard on the wall in December, and cards on the rack going forward, I’m so happy to be part of this endeavour. I encourage you to keep an eye on the gallery’s events, where you’ll see art that is definitely not mainstream, and always interesting.

Chime in!
