Reliable is another word for logical. Can you trust someone who thinks differently than you? One of the many things that gets me steamed up is how supposedly masculine traits like logic and reliability are less important for women than friendliness and a great smile. Really?? Don’t get me started!

From the Pretty/Angry series
This piece has so many layers of texture and colour that you’d think there was a meltdown at the sherbet shop. Atop the base layer of dark marks and scrapings, I overlaid a watercolour sketch, a scribbled collage, a crumpled monomprint, and composite textures in peach, cream, and light green. Delicious — but I made sure to have some of it show through, and added that geometric diagram to emphasize the calculations involved to get it looking just right.
Availability
These pieces will be printed on demand, mounted to a foamcore backing, and then embossed and incised with additional marks to create a variable edition. The underlying digital work will be the same; each print will have unique marks.
