The base layer for this piece, a heavily hand-worked set of scribbles, marks, and spackle, was dark and not very friendly looking. Luckily, I had a few colour textures on hand in my digital palette for cover-up purposes. I brought in some autumn-leaf oranges, a touch of larger red markings, and some intense magenta watercolour, selectively letting the lower layers show through. Final touches included those lovely geometry drawings, and a bit more dark scribbling for effect.

Availability

These pieces will be printed on demand, mounted to a foamcore backing, and then embossed and incised with additional marks to create a variable edition. The underlying digital work will be the same; each print will have unique marks.
