From the Pretty/Angry series
The bottom layer of this very pink piece is a dark maelstrom of deep magenta marks and intense black-green covering up almost everything on an overworked, very physical collage. Digital additions range from large scrawling painted lines on manila paper to a photograph of peeling birchbark. Scribbled collages, watercolour sketches, and painted textures make appearances too. In the end, the angry marks have receded, been unified, but are not completely gone.
Availability
These pieces will be printed on demand, mounted to a foamcore backing, and then embossed and incised with additional marks to create a variable edition. The underlying digital work will be the same; each print will have unique marks.
