It’s World Collage Day 2026, on May 9 — come join the fun! Once again, I have pieces displaying in two cities, thanks to efforts from two of my collage communities, Special Agent Collage Collective and Vancouver Collage Collective. Here’s the fun part: the pieces share the same origin story!
Seattle
For most of May, I’ll have three pieces in a show in Belltown, thanks to Mission 28 from the Special Agent Collage Collective. The founder of said collective, Andrea Lewicki, has booked Slip Gallery on 1st Avenue for a month: May 8 through June 6, and will be showing entries from that mission all the while. Here’s what I submitted: actual, physical work!

These three pieces were part of an analog series, created on 12″x9″ watercolour paper, to explore a compositional structure of halves, portraying two sides of a conversation. The theme for Mission 28, Confrontage, seemed to suit those conversations where almost nothing was held in common.
Vancouver
When the Vancouver Collage Collective asked for art for World Collage Day, I realized I had to show a version of these same pieces. Here, I’ve been working with the scans of the physical pieces, above, adding digital layers as I tend to do.

I’ve sent over digital copies of these three pieces, to be displayed as VCC sees fit.
