It has been an odd, long year or two, but I am grateful for where the journey has taken me, and glad to have you along with me. As I reviewed my daily planner, it was a little overwhelming to see how the days and months added up to this:
- Moving into the city from the suburbs
- Finding a studio, and then another one!
- Adding work to redbubble each season
- Attending lots of art openings, events, and talks
- Starting a new series of comforting landscapes
- Saying goodbye to an old series, Threads
- Showing my work with EAFA, in Anacortes, Seattle, and on the East Coast
- Working a trip to Scotland into the start of a self-directed residency
- Quietly beginning a longer series, also landscape-based, dealing with change
- Happily agreeing to representation at Lynn Hanson Gallery!
I’m excited to be showing with Lynn in January, and looking forward to the work coming out of the studio in the new year. Thank you for all your feedback, conversation, and support in the never-ending conversation that is art.
Yay!
