Have you wondered about all the layers I’m using in my pieces? Come peek at a few of them this summer. I’ve been invited to show my art at artEAST‘s satellite venue, Blakely Hall. Perfect for larger works, it gives me the chance to really fill some wall space.
I’ll be showing 6 of my recent pieces as 24″x24″ aluminum prints, along with 12″x18″ photographs that were used as layers in each piece. To round off this ensemble, each piece will also be shown with its base handmade collage, 8″x8″ square, created from my Collage365 series.
Since it’s quite a large room, I’m teaming up with another collage artist, Anne La Fever. We come at collage from opposite directions: she’s traditional, I’m all modern tech; but we share a warm palette and I love the dark humor that surfaces in her pieces. See a taste of her work and the show statement here.
